Duty Free expansion and departure lounge toilet facilities development
18th February 2016Guernsey Airport has been listening and acting upon customer feedback, gained through social media platforms www.facebook.com/GuernseyAirportOfficialSite and www.twitter.com/guernseyairport, as well as a recent online passenger experience survey on www.airport.gg.
Many passengers raised concerns about a lack of toilets within the departure lounge (particularly during busy times).
The online survey also highlighted passenger feedback with regards to shopping facilities within the departure lounge, with customers asking for a greater range of products to enhance their shopping experience.
As a result, Guernsey Airport in partnership with Duty Free partner Randalls has begun construction work to install more male and female toilet facilities and increase the size of Duty Free retail area (into the space previously utilised as an executive lounge).
Guernsey Airport’s Duty Free is almost unique as it is run by a local independent company; rather than the global brand World Duty Free. This “home-grown” relationship between the airport and Randalls Guernsey is enabling the project to proceed efficiently and swiftly.
Both the Duty Free expansion and the toilet facilities development are due to be completed in time for Easter 2016.
