GOSHA 2019 Breakfast Seminar and AGM
5th November 2019The purpose of this presentation led by Dr Michael Cash for GOSHA (Guernsey Occupational Safety & Health Association) is to review how innovations have positively influenced the management of health and safety (HS) and at times, posed significant challenges in the workplace.
Dr Cash, is Chartered Fellow of the Institution of Occupational Safety and Health (IOSH), recent Chair of the IOSH Construction Group and IOSH representative in the UK HSEs CONIAN initiative. He is also a member of the Jersey Safety Council and Jersey Construction Council HS Subgroup. He has worked in risk management for over 20 years in the UK, Channel Islands, Europe and North and South America, across industries including construction, oil and gas, manufacturing, commerce and education. Michael recently joined the Garenne Construction Group as their Group HS Director.
Dr Cash will discuss how innovation has influenced health and safety management in the workplace, giving practical examples of where positive advances have been achieved and where solutions to occupational challenges have themselves added to the risk in our workplaces.
He will examine some recent innovations and how these are being used to reduce risk across a number of industry sectors.
The presentation begins at 08:00 on Wednesday 27th November 2019 at La Villette Hotel with a finish time 09:00. The AGM starts at 07:30.
