Aurigny is delighted to announce that tickets will soon be on sale for a new summer route from Guernsey to Barcelona.
The service will operate over four Saturdays, from 23rd July to 13th August, using Aurigny’s Embraer 195 jet. The aircraft will depart Guernsey at 18.30 and arrive in Barcelona at 21.15. The return flight will arrive back in Guernsey at 22.40.
Malcolm Coupar, Aurigny’s Commercial Director, says: “When we bought the jet we did strongly hint that we’d try to make some extra use of its range and seating capacity by trying out a Mediterranean destination. After a lot of background work, we’re pleased to be able to confirm that we’ll be operating high season flights to Barcelona this summer. The Embraer is an investment on behalf of the people of Guernsey and the service to Barcelona is designed as a treat for islanders. We believe this direct service is a first for Guernsey.”
He continues: “Barcelona is a great place for a family holiday because it’s a city by the sea. You can mix culture, like a trip to see the architect Gaudi’s world famous church, La Sagrada Familia, with a relaxing afternoon on the beach. There are several excellent water parks either in the city, or nearby. Accommodation is plentiful and one idea for a varied family holiday is to spend a few nights in Barcelona and a few nights in one of the Costa Brava’s many resorts.”
Tickets for Aurigny’s Barcelona getaways will soon be available at both Aurigny.com and local travel agents. Fares start at £119 per person, one way.
